my story

hello!
My name is Johanna, often shortened to Jo, an Information Designer with an open mind for new ideas and attention to detail. My practice sits at the intersection of human-centred design, information systems, and visual storytelling, with a focus on translating complex information into accessible, meaningful experiences.
I am a farm girl at heart but interaction design, branding, and package design are my main passions. I approach branding as a system rather than a surface, considering how information is structured, experienced, and trusted across physical and digital touchpoints. My work is grounded in research-driven decision-making, iterative design processes, and a belief that effective design evolves through use.
Don’t let my shy, reserved exterior fool you. Scratch that surface and I am as bubbly as champagne. Alongside my design practice, I’m deeply interested in typography, data design, photography, and agriculture. I bring an energetic, thoughtful, and collaborative approach to my work. I’m motivated by curiosity, care, and a genuine commitment to creating design solutions that are both functional and human-centred.
