Wonka's Inferno
Project for a class at Mount Royal Univetrsity
1
Introduction
This project was for a class at Mount Royal University designed by Johanna Lunzmann.
2
Background
Create a movie poster which represents the story and the data of a movie. The movie chosen: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, 1971
3
Challenge
The goal of this project was to tell a story through sets of data. I found a twist within this motion picture, the parralelism of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Dante's Inferno. Unique data sets were researched and used to help prove the likeness of the two.
As the poster is read from top to bottom the data sets help explain the seven sins (each character represents) and the descent to they go through to reach purgatory. Charlie being the character that survives, despite his lust to have a better life. His journey proves that god is forgiving.
The data sets:
1. The chocolate bars
2. The chance of finding a golden ticket
3. The locations
4. The representatives
5. The descent
